ACTS 22-23

So Paul stands up in front of the Jews and gives his defense. But when he mentions "Gentiles" they get mad again and cause a big wild raucous. So naturally, as things start to get out of hand, the Roman authorities get involved and take Paul to have him scourged.

But wait! Paul uses the get-out-of-Roman-scourging-with-only-minor-cat-of-nine-tails-scars card on 'em and gets out. But things get so out of hand with this big scheme goin' on, and blah blah blah, Paul's nephew Steven Curtis Chapman knowing things he shouldn't, God knows how he did! But anyway, it gets to the point where the captain has to send Paul away to the governator Felix.

So Paul, through all this trial and such, is given such awesome opportunities to tell the story to some of the most prominent people in Rome! Who-ah-Oh!
