  • i expected stalin to have a deep booming voice

  • his voice is right and calm. he took on the calm way of speech, which showed his stability and kept the image of him as fatherlike to the peoples of Soviet Russia. Rest aside the atrocities committed, focus on the context of the speech. It is poetic, and the voice is right, otherwise his speeches would have not been effective to captivate the audience if it were deep.

  • @Amitaruci1 there were no such country as sovietrussia sumb yankee

  • Stalin's voice was slightly heavier than this. The microphones of the day were not picking up as well as today's the lower registers of sound. Stalin was certainly no baritone but the audio of those old films do not represent accurately the tenor of his voice, as witnessed and subsequeently by westerners, such as reporters, present in Stalin speeches or meetings with foreign leaders, e.g. Yalta.

  • @TheStreetMoscow get a life.

  • @Amitaruci1

No, he captivated people in other ways......and had them shot.

    Terrible translation. Hilarious!

  • @Amitaruci1 there were no such country as 'soviet russia'
