Reknown for designs like the Random Light, product designer Bertjan Pot became internationally known for his unique working methods. The starting point for Pot is never an idealistic imagination born concept - To the contrary, the designer is often inspired by reality. In experimenting with new materials or technologies, he discovers original new applications that lead to innovative designs.

When his creativity isn't sufficiently challenged, Pot heads over to his sewing machine to make masks. A project that started as an experiment from which he wanted to find out if he could make a carpet by stitching rope together.

Creating volume while using minimal materials is what often charaterizes the designs of Bertjan Pot.
