The Minnesota Twins owner Carl Pohlad was worth about $3.7 Billion when he died earlier this year.

The Twins owner could buy and sell Steinbrenner almost three times over.

The difference is Steinbrenner uses his money to pay good players to come to the Yankees while Pohlad put his money in his own pocket.

If any team can have success by bringing guys up through their farm teams, good for them. Yankee players come up through their farm teams just as any other teams.

Neither the Yankees or any other team should be punished because the city they play in has more people than another teams city.

If absolute parody is what we want then the Rockies should be forced to move their stadium because it's easier to hit a home run at high altitudes.

@independentview1 Yeah but what you don't understand is that the Yankees bring in probably $3.7 Billion of revenue a year while the Twins probably bring in about $400 million or so in revenue. Pohlad was a business man, he would have been losing money if he put it into the Twins without getting a ROI. Thats the difference you don't see my friend. The Twins have had a lot of success without having a huge payroll and growing a lot of talent in the farm system.
