Ilya Kovalchuk lied to his franchise (fan appreciation video)

Thanks for the good times Ilya. In my eyes you will be a Thrasher for life but you did dick your franchise. Yes 'your' franchise. The team that relied on you every single game to be the captain and leader. The team that did so much to make you happy. Yet you ask for 11.3 million per season which is the NHL max. Sorry, even Ovechkin doesn't get that much and what makes you think you are better than him, Crosby, or even Malkin? In the end you showed your true colors. A money hungry baby. This franchise did so much for you and yet you wanted to hurt them, literally, by asking to eat up 20% of the cap. Very very ashamed.

Quit crying that the Thrashers don't have Kovy now. He obviously wanted to play with SOMEONE... instead of having his linemates like Savard, Hossa and Heatley being dished out.
