@Metalwilly1 and your a poser because you fail to accept changes in a bands sound and a failure to leave alone people with different views.

Metal elitists are in love in the no true scotsman fallacy. Sadly this makes them both assholes and morons on this subject. Why? Because they have made the artistic manipulation of sound waves, aka music, into an ego circle jerk. Don't get me wrong, I love metal culture, but I think these people take it WAY too far.

@mykindom666 I agree with most you say , Cliff Burton liked classical too so did Randy Rhoads, it helped them!

@mykindom666 'Then again, aren't there douchebags like this in all genres?'
Yes. Definately.
Even mainstream genres like pop.

When someone CHOOSES to be narrow-minded, in religion, music, politics, whatever, it's to their own detriment. To be so sure that your way is the only way leads to divisiveness, anger and even violence. I've been in & around the music business my whole life and I see hardcore nutjobs in almost every genre of music. Trust me, as far as outspoken anger, Country fans are the worst! But Heavy Metal comes in a close second. Everyone has their preference but some people really need to get a grip!
Favourited. I agree and I made my own response to religioniscancer.

@LatumWay I watched it. Really awesome video too. I'm glad you liked this. I had to speak on this subject as a metalhead. It's the only thing I hate about the metal culture. Then again, aren't there douchebags like this in all genres?

Good video, I agree. It's sad when someone derives every attribute of themselves from one source, instead of each attribute on its own merits. That tends to make one become heavily identified with it, with a reduced ability to apply reason to it. But I'm not sure exactly how that applies in the heavy metal community or the preconceptions therein.

@saken It's just over obsessive pride. These people are like religious fundamentalists. They allow one source to define their character and oppress those different from them.
