  • I love videos like these...

    seeing 2 great animals in action but none of them getting harmed is awesome;

    dog got speed and strenght, cat has also speed but agility...

    beautiful dog by the way, I love ridgebacks!

  • @cieron88 Thank you! :)

  • After watching a few of your videos, one doesn't need to see much more before arriving at the conclusion that your Ridgeback is incredibly blessed with genetics that the founders of the breed would have been very keen on.

    Assuming no problematic hereditary issues, this is the kind of dog that benefits the breed gene pool a lot.

    If dogs were left to run wild, yours would be one of the last ones standing after the others starve.

    Very impressive!

  • Thanks!

    I was lucky to had the opportunity and places to allow my dog to display breed related behavior. Sadly, but most impressive things I was not able to record with my camera, mostly due my clumsiness ;)

  • He probably won't be breed, he is to light (38 kg) to do any good at dog shows here, so there will probably be no interest in him as a stud.

    But that is how things are today, people look for exterior, they don't mind much if their future puppy will show Ridgeback specific behavior, behavior that helped RRs to establish themselfs as the best Africa big game hunting breed. :)
