This lift is called the Multi-Lift by Access Unlimited. It works in both the home and car plus there is a portable wheeled base. It costs a lot less than vans and more flexible. This is an instructional video on how the lift is used. More information available at http://www.accessunlimited.com

  • Sorry if we were not clear- it must be removed when the vehicle is in motion unless it is in the sliding door position on a minivan and there is a tiedown for the lift. (Safety concerns) The car door is open only while the transfer is in process and the whole operation should not affect battery charge or battery life. Thanks so much for your interest in our product. You can email me at mlsales -- accessunlimited com if you want to connect with a dealer, etc or call at 607-669-4822. Tom

  • The video is very clear about the procedure and the safety points. I also like the head safety in the down direction to keep the head from crushing the knees. Nice touch! Seems like a great product. The one difficulty is the fabric sling, how does one get the sling under the person so it can be used? Does the person have that under them the entire time they are running errands?

  • I think you do a really good job of explaining how this works and don't make it look easy, which nothing is. I just wonder when you say you don't have to take the device out if your not driving it. Do you have to leave the door open as that would run the battery down wouldn't it? This would be my car and the lift would go on when I take mom.

Can I leave this in all the time? I don't understand how it goes on the door. Thank You.

  • and what´s the angle of the cilinder to begin the movement? I ask you this because i´m doing one similar idea for my thesis.

  • more or less whats the amount of force or strength the cilinder does
