Ruby was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma in August 2011.

With the help of artist-in-residence John Blalock, Ruby uses 35mm photography to document her experience and share what it's like being a teen with cancer.

UPDATED: August 2, 2012

Unfortunately, Ruby passed away on May 30, 2012.

Twenty-eight of her prints are on view in Seattle Art Museum's South Hall gallery through September 9, 2012. This area of the museum is free and open to the public.
