Bali kidnaps Mayavi's wife & misbehaves with her & leaves her injured. Mayavi is all angry seeing this & goes to Bali to kill him. Sugriv tells Bali not to fight with the Mayavi but Bali insists as Bali will get Mayavi's powers due to his vardaan. Bali & Mayavi fight for one year in the cave & Sugriv waits outside the cave. Sugriv sees blood coming out of the cave & there is no sign of Bali. On hearing mayavi's voice, Sugriv feels that Mayavi would be more powerful than Bali so he killed Bali. Sugriv covers the cave with a huge stone so that Mayavi does not some out of the cave ever. He returns to his palace & becomes the King as Bali is dead. Bali returns from the cave & everybody is shocked to see him alive. Bali feels Sugriv deceived him so he throws him out of his kingdom & kidnaps Roma. Bali's this misunderstanding led to a fight between them. Ram promises Sugriv defeat Bali & save his wife from Bali.

that is all FAKE VALI was never that evil, only after he thought sugriv trapped him (which still isn't very fair, he told him to wait for a few days, and months went by and when sugriv heard the fighting had stopped, he thoughtt bali had been killed as he had not come out yet, so he trapped him, bali without ANY reasoning banished bali took his wife and yea he's pretty bad from that side onwards.....

@dannyp206 yes of course he was far better than Ravan, i don t know about mayavis wife, i also never heard of it before, it´s very much possible that it´s either invented or from some other source than the valmiki ramayan. about tara, when she tought vali is dead she took shelter of sugriv, but as a sister in law. but after the death of vali at hands of Ram she was first grieving but then we see when laksman comes angry to kishkinda, according to valmiki, that she is enjoying in sugrivs harem

@VrindavaniDeviDasi Bali did misbehave with Sugriv. He did take his wife, yes and payed the price for it too. I dunno what u said about Bali's wife accepting Sugriv is true or not. Infact I highly doubt it. But the part where they showed that Bali tried to kidnap or rape Mayavi's wife was pure bullshit made by Bollywood IMO to degrade his character. Bali was not THAT Evil!! Yes he did commit adharma but he wasn't that evil like Ravan. He didnt try to oppress the universe like Ravan did.

@dannyp206 don t praise Vali too much, he´s not that great. ok, he was good before the accident with the cave, but he misbehaved a lot with sugriv. sugriv has never done anything immoral. he waited a year for vali to return although he had asked him to wait just 4 nights. he gave shelter to tara and she accepted him, but vali snatched roma from his brother and even wanted to kill him not willing to reason. yes, agree, they exegerated a little with how evil vali was, but most is correct.

At 17:54, did Sugreev just say that he was as strong as Bali? OK IT"S OFFICIAL that this is pure Bollywoody bullshit! Hell Sugriv couldn't achieve the feats of strength that Bali could. Bali was the strongest monkey ever if you exclude Hanuman. Yes he had that boon that whoever comes to fight with him, 1/2 their strength would go to Bali but even without it Bali was far stronger than even Ravan.
