The U.S. military has released Associated Press photographer Bilal Hussein after holding him for more than two years. Hussein was handed over to AP colleagues on Wednesday in Baghdad. (April 16)

  • In the Viet Nam War we didn't have very good control of journalists in general leading to all these embarassing photos of us napalming toddlers

    Our version of how things went in World War II was too fresh in memory and there were lines we could not yet cross.

    Now we call anyone we don't like terrorist, put him in jail or kill on the spot.
