  • Honestly, this was doomed from the begining. Did ALW really think audiences and critics would embrace this? How did this get by the conceptual stages? What were they thinking? Money Talks, I guess. One "Phantom" is enough, but two? Good Lord.

  • I still can't believe they made a sequel. I love POTO, but I love the story and message of it too much to want a sequel. It just ruins everything the original stood for.

Isn't it bad enough all of our modern-day movies are mostly horrid remakes and pointless sequels? Have we really gotten to the point when we want to ruin something good from the theatre?

Feh. ALW just wanted money. I'd say his passion for telling a good story was gone when he was making this nightmare.

  • This way it's obsession, but then Raoul threatens to kill the Phantom but Christine does not want that to happen, in the end it's either lose the phantom, whom she loves, or her only son. Oh, and the Phantom got to Coney Island by himself, Meg could be Gustave's nanny like in the Phantom of Manhattan. The ending could go either way in which Christine or the Phantom gets killed.

  • I honestly like the songs but the story is so pointless, why is Raoul an alcoholic bastard? Why is Meg a whore? And why did the Phantom fuck Christine and run off? Phantom doesn't need a sequel but since it was made they should have at least kept a love triangle, and maybe like have the Phantom still obsessed with Christine, so he uses Gustave, (Raoul's and Christine's son) to draw him out. This of course should play out in the Manhattan Opera House and Coney Island.
