Have you atleast stepped foot into a facilty that sells sheets of G-10. G10 and micarta is exactly the same product the just switch the name of it. Its a super big secret, I swear. Micarta is only produced in one placed in the world currently and i really dont want to get all into detail if, so please ask and ill make a video with micarta faclity brochures and catalogs to prove anyone wrong. g-10 and micarta same exact thing, its like Cornthian Leather commercials from that car company.

Quetbearr does a great vid on handle materials, I don't know enough on the subject to engage argument... but it seems that G10 is a fiberglass material set in resin, and Micarta is linen, canvas, or paper set in resin...

Here's the truth about G-10 and Micarta: G-10 is a type of Micarta.
There are different types of Micarta. As macj pointed out, some use paper, canvas, or linen. One particular type uses fiberglass, and that's known as G-10.
What we know as G-10 nowadays isn't even actually G-10, it's called FR4 - a flame retardant version of G-10.
Hope that clears up some confusion. :)
