B2M launch at Winter NAMM 2010 show. A montage of some folks having MIDI fun. The sonuus B2M is a simple-to-use, highly effective, bass-to-MIDI converter. It is "Universal" because it doesn't need a special pick-up

  • would it work well connected to an ESP LTD F404 bass with 2 active EMG humbuckers?

  • @shdggsdv It should work fine. You may need to turn your volume down a bit if the signal clips a lot (the EMGs can be quite hot).

  • Does the B2M benefit from certain frequencies going into it? Say if I use an active bass with an onboard EQ, is there a chance that tracking will be more precise if I, for example, crank up the mids?

  • @Rickysaur A flat frequency response is usually best. However, if the fundamental tone is suppressed (or if the harmonics are more powerful than the fundamental), it can cause problems with the wrong octave being detected. In these cases, rolling off the higher frequencies can help. But it all depends on your playing and your instrument. I suggest leaving it flat, then experimenting with boost/cut if you have problems.

  • Great product ans for the right price!

How does it handle low-B notes? I am thinking of getting one to control my MFB Synth Lite, would be great to have both the synth and my bass going on at the same time!

  • It handles Low-B pretty well. Bearing in mind the period of a low B is 32ms, the B2M does a good job of keeping the latency down.

  • al primer bajista que aparece le digo esto: PELÁO CULIAO, PARA QUE PINGO TE COMPRÁS EL APARATITO SI VAS A SEGUIR USANDO EL SONIDO DE BAJO, PEDAZO DE CAJETUDO!!!... QUE GENTE PELOT... PER HAY QUE SER HIJO DE PUTA, NO???

  • I like that EVP in background :-D

  • Do I understand it right, it's monophonic, doesn't work with chords?

  • Hi, I'm planning to get something like this for my trio, because when the guitar plays higher notes, especially solos, a single bass just isn't enough. I'm planning to use this parallel with my original bass sound, so the delay should be even less of a problem. What do you think, are there better solutions for this problem?

  • I love mine.
