Yesterday, I posted two blogs (here and here) regarding an AMD-hosted panel discussion that I attended in Cambridge, MA. Execs from AMD, EMC, HP, and APC were there to talk about short term measures that can yield savings in energy expenditures and green house gas emissions today, and then the ways in which they're looking to enable deeper efficiencies through new technologies and automation. For example, imagine that, collectively, the temperature sensors on the cores of all of the microprocessors in a datacenter were dynamically adjusting the controls on that datacenter's air conditioning system. Cool, eh? (literally and figuratively).
One of the more interesting parts of the morning however came when a member of the audience — Arthur Howard — was invited to the front of the room to brief the room on the green initiatives that he's involved in. Howard works for ICF Consulting which in turn is working with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to come up with a way for computers to get the EPA's Energy Star seal of approval — basically, the same Energy Star sticker you see on common household appliances like washers, dryers, and refrigerators.

what about people bodies being bombarded with
cpu microwaves at 65 to 130 watts and videocard radiowaves at 400 watts, people being radiated without their consent is unnacceptable, dont they have the right to not be exposed to this? im curious, what the fuck is energy stars job besides writting un-enforced or useless guide lines all day
is this commity just another pro economics dont give a fuck about people lobby or what

The microwaves radiation comming from computer cpus at 65 watts is poewrful enough to operate a CB radio station that can communicate from Washington to Europe And the microweaves from cpus also dramatically reduce the life span of motherboards and peripherals, cpu microwaves over 35 watts burn memory chips, pop capacitors and and fry peripheral cards the xbox RROD is a small example of what cpu microwaves do to motherboards and memory modules.

what the fuck are you people at energy star doing in your spare time these days! in case you dident know cpu companies are making cpus that emit microwaves in the 65 watt to 130 watt range and video cards that emit radio frequencies in the 400 watts range for 512 bit cards , this wattage is enought to epoxse poeple to radiowave sickness, so what the fuck are u doing to ban companies from using hazardous wattages energy star? are a you guys a fake commity or an active one!?
