After more than 150 years in business--selling to everyone from the Duke of Windsor to Karl Lagerfeld--France's most storied luggage purveyor still has a few tricks up its sleeve.

  • Louis Vuitton, Hermes, and Goyard are the best in France!

  • O Goyard do not give into the temptation to go mainstream like your vulgar fallen sister Vuitton!

  • @jasminejs LV has made certain decisions for the sake of profit. Decisions such as moving some manufacturing out of France, branching out from just luggage into clothing, sunglasses, etc, having a giant advertising budget resulting in every 16 y/o mall employee lusting over an LV. Hey to each their own, the point of a company is to make money but it does seem less 'authentic' to its original French luggage company origins which is presumably part of what some people like about goyard

  • What horse river would buy a go yard coin holder??! Lol I would.....

  • A louis Vuitton wana b! Worthless CRAP this is

  • i think i prefer louis vuitton.......

  • @jasminejs Something that is vulgar is something that is popular; forsooth, that is what vulgar means. In any case, I'm attracted to Vuitton trunks and hard cases too. If someone wants the quality and the heritage but wants to avoid branding himself, there's always damier canvas. And leather.

  • The idea that LV is vulgar because its popular, seems like quite a pretentious & elitist notion. Every individual is certainly entitled to purchase whatever they like, based on whatever criteria, & I am sure that to some, "elitist" isn't a bad word. I guess it just depends on what kind of person you want to be. I'm a LV lover, & am very happy to be so. I own many LV pieces & my enjoyment of them isn't in any way diminished because others own the same pieces, or because the brand is well known.

  • @jasminejs Show-offs? How would I be a show-off by deliberately choosing something precisely because I know that most people won't recognize it as luxurious? If I wanted to be a show-off I would buy Louis Vuitton.

  • @Gnickk I prefer the aesthetic of LV pieces. Personal style, price, functionality of the piece, & overall personal preference, should be the determining factors when deciding which are your favorite brands, not the exclusivity label. Individuals who want only what it most exclusive or obscure, tend to be, in my experience, not true lovers of luggage and handbags, but show offs and social climbers looking to one up others in any field. Just an observation. I'll go grab my Louis and be off now.

  • I love goyard but can never find one in malaysia :-(
