Recently, U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb ruled that the annual National Day of Prayer was a violation of the First Amendment to the Constitution, despite decades of statute and tradition of this important day for our country. This ruling is not what our Founders intended and does a disservice to our history as a religious nation. I call on Attorney General Eric Holder to appeal this ruling.

  • @sogairborne, keep on typing. I enjoy watching people fail.

  • @MagnusIan .."A National Day of Prayer" is to promote religon, Not to make a law respecting establishment of religon, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. As stated in the Constitution.

  • Congressman Davis, you fail hard. Read the First Amendment, please.

  • The US could be called a moderate fascist country, as shown by the two fasci in congress room at the end of this video. It is a political system that does not care about people in the first place, but because it needs people, they come second. I suppose Geoff Davis opposed the new health care law?

  • Socialism in MY country was established by Domela Nieuwenhuis a Reverend of the Evang. Lutheran Church. In basics socialism is based on the morals that Jesus teached (read your bible!) - Nieuwenhuis went into politics. Communism, also called State Socialism, is not different from any other oppressive system, like political Islam and Fascism. Moderate socialist democratic countries are the most social countries: they care about people.

  • National Day of Prayer is USED to PROMOTE religion. Prayer is a religious act and government should stay OUT of it. Judge Crabb was right. The fact that God entered the USA illegally in the early 50s as a reaction to communism in the Cold War is irrelevant now. (BTW, the first thursday in may is based on the socialist Labour Day which is on the first of May every year.)
