I wanted to record a version of this song for a new friend of mine, ecrira4u, to play a Bossa for her, and "Samurai" is the one that seem to be the best for this case, even if I had recorded many versions, this one is just for her!DJavan call this kind of style samba-reggae!As it's him that wrote it, let's call it like that!This song is the song that made me discovered DJavan!

  • Hi Lorenzino!

    i`m brazilian, keep playing like that! you have talent man! just keep training.. and you portuguese are cool to a french guy ( french right ? )

    only a tip again ! keep trying and training!

    bye :}

  • Hi! I was happy to read what you have written, you gave me tips instead of criticising, like most of the Brazilians do about my accent! I've never been to Brazil, so I can't have a better accent, I try to speak normally cause I'm really interested by your country, and you're right, I must work and training again and again!For the chords, I think it's nearly OK, but for the lyrics, it's another problem! Thanks for your comment,I'll take care of what you said!BYE!

  • I am brazilian but can't fully understand the meaning of this song!

  • Hi! I was really happy of what you wrote,I've just answer to a fucking guy that thinks that you must be Brazilian to record Djavan's songs!Probably cause I must got a little accent,but I don't think that it's the most important!Djavan himself told that he's happy when someone from another country plays his song, cause he like his language & wanna share this language with all the others countries(but he is intelligent,that's not the case of the guy I've just answered)!THKS a lot for your comment.

  • Hi!THKS for the comment.I'm happy you seem to like this version ;I can't hear a "French 50's or 60's music",don't got enough retirement, as it's me that play it, but it's a good boost to record others Brazilians songs!To tell you what is this song about, I could only tell you what I think, but as I'm not sure if it's the real meaning or if I'm wrong, let me some days to ask to a friend that's Brazilian,I'll tell you if what I think is the truth or if I was wrong,I don't wanna tell stupidities.
