Superb playing, of course, but the registration assistant was a maestro in his own right! It reminded me of the then newly rebuilt organ in the Auckland Town Hall in 1970. George Thalben-Ball, no less, was giving the inaugural recital, but the parts for the combination action had not arrived in time, so Ken Aplin from the organ building company, had to do the same job as the gentleman in this video, and those in the know understand the difficulties of precision, knowledge and timing required.
