Elizabeth L. Hillman is Professor of Law at Rutgers University School of Law, Camden. Her work focuses on U.S. military law and history since the mid-20th century, especially the definition and prosecution of military crime and the role of gender and sexuality in military law and culture. She authored Defending America: Military Culture and the Cold War Court-Martial (Princeton University Press, 2005) and co-authored Military Justice: Cases and Materials (LexisNexis, 2007, w/ Fidell and Sullivan). For 2007-08, she is Visiting Professor of Law at the University of California Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco.
