*WARNING* Contains some graphic footage.
Here is Germany was made to prepare soldiers who had not seen combat to go to Germany for the US occupation after the May 8, 1945 unconditional surrender. The film was, however, never used for its intended purpose.

Here is Germany was a 1945 propaganda documentary film directed by Frank Capra. Like its companion film, Know Your Enemy: Japan, the film is a full-length exploration of why one of the two major Axis countries
started World War II and what had to be done to keep them from "doing it again".

  • Man I can't believe that our own nation was so ignorant as to produce a movie like this. It resembles the Nazi movie where they compare Jews to rats. How could this have come out of America? I am ashamed. They do not even have the facts straight. Napolean Attacked Prussia. Can you believe this?

  • Stop using Germans as an excuse to shield your own american war mongering and agressive wars allover the world since 1945

  • @slowstrummer What I can't believe is that you can't believe it. This was made in the 1940's. Of course it was propaganda.

  • @Anton1941 We have in common with the Germans, apparently, that we have big mouths but small dicks, and we lose more wars than we win. We've fought three wars in my own lifetime against peasants in pajamas, and lost all three, at incalculable costs in both money and misery. We're basically a country of irreducible assholes, stupid, fat, lazy, ignorant, and proud of it. The funny part of all this is that the Russians won the last war against Germany, and before that, the English and the French.

  • copy that. also i think it was a huge mistake to bomb London or civilian populated areas of the UK. that was a big mistake. they lost their moral ground.

  • @Rico8458

What the Germans really did wrong as far as international public opinion was concerned was to treat white people in the way the other Western powers only treated non-white people.

  • @TrueLoveNeverDies82 Thank you.

  • @Cyricist001 - No offense taken at all, and I understand more clearly now what you're saying. I still personally don't find the past of Croatia belonging to Germanics dry, I still find it interesting, but that's my personal feeling. I also would like to see it happen now or in the future. I also agree that it would benefit greatly from economic and cultural reasons. You brought up a good topic.

  • @TrueLoveNeverDies82 I'm sorry if I offended you in any way.Its not from historical view point that I wish Croatia to be part of Germany but from economical and cultural reasons. History is only here to point that its nothing new if it would came to be.When I meant dry topic I was referring to Croatian land belonging to the Empire in the past, not the present or future possibility that interests me greatly if it could be made possible. But to accomplish that Croatia needs 8 million Germans + $

  • @Cyricist001 - I fundamentally disagree on that. If it were such a dry topic, I myself wouldn't be interested in it. Any historian that thinks of it as a dry topic, isn't much of a historian. And, if you're not interested in it, and think of it as a dry topic, then why did you even bother writing that you wish Croatia were a part of a German empire again. An oxymoron on your part...Weird. If it is a dry topic to you, then you don't care about it.

  • @TrueLoveNeverDies82 Why are you interested in it? Its a dry topic even between historians.

  • @Cyricist001 - Ah, I see. Very interesting.
