@Imaginefree69 Do you love Jesus and hate the sin you once loved? Jesus said if you love him you will do as he says. Jesus told us to hate sin and love our Father in heaven and our neighbour. No teacher is perfect they can slip up here and there but the real question is where is their heart. If they admit to their mistakes with humility instead of defending themselves with pride that's how you decide weather a teacher is for the Lord or against him.

When you come to judgement day will you defend yourself with what you have done or what Jesus has done?

"trust in Jesus he will save you from the punishment that will come"
There's nothing to be saved FROM except god's rage and torture.
"Love me or be tortured for ever and ever!"
This os not someone I could trust, frankly.

"You can be all "holy" and goody goody on the outside but it will not matter because what matters is who you do it for "
Yet John says that only your actions count.
He says that people who do righteous things are righteous,
and people who do bad things are bad.
He also says that those who are born of god
CAN NOT SIN.
How's that working out for you so far?

It is not mental slavery and this is in love but you are blinded by believing that this is just a system created to fool us into believing these myths
"The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."
2 Corinthians 4:4

Jesus Loves you so much dude
And that is why He died for your sins so that you will not have to take the punishment for it, but if you turn away from your sins and trust in Jesus he will save you from the punishment that will come
"PLEASE don't waste your life!
Live it to the full!
Too many religious types tell you to despise this life,
setting aside your plans and passions"
This is what Jesus exactly wants everyone to know
God wants to get involved in your world to live for an eternal purpose not a temporary one

And Being religious doesn't matter to Jesus
You can be all "holy" and goody goody on the outside but it will not matter because what matters is who you do it for
Jesus will say this to all the religious people "Then I will tell them publicly, 'I've never known you. Get away from me, you evil people" (Matthew 7:23).
The reason being is that they did things for themselves they didn't love Jesus in doing all these things
