There are many types of diabetes, each in there own way is a separate very different disease.Type 1 accounts for only 15% of the whole diabetic population and its not caused by eating too much sugar. It is classified as an auto immune disease, where your immune system which is responsible for protecting your body from its enemies actually attacks itself. Think of it as friendly fire but inside your body.Don't believe all you hear on the tv, even tv doctors fail and misinform.

My father was diagnosed with type 1 @ age 5 he was able to play sports.. go to prom.. graduate... have me.. he was a hard worker.. funny and sweet man.. sadly on feb 19th 2011 i lost my father 3 months shy of his 43 birthday. @ his funeral donations were made to a diabetes research fund. I would like to thank you for this vid. Get the word out how much we need a cure for this disease. and comments like from YOMAMAXXL is just Ignorance and it literately made me cry when i read that.. TY again

@YOMAMAXXL there is NO Cure to diabetes dont you think id stop eating sugar if it meant i could stop taking shots?diabetics dont take insulin to counteract sugar but now they change their doses according to the amount of CARBS they eat. we cant only do our best to control diabetes theres no cure known at the moment, maybe you should learn about diabetes before making such an ignorant comment....
