State of Alert for Yellowstone National Park

YELLOWSTONE SPECIAL ALERT - 01.23.2010 - USGS reports well over a thousand earthquakes within the last 7 days, four of which rattled Yellowstone National Park.

Yellowstone National Park spokesman Al Nash says people reported feeling the Wednesday quakes at the park locations of Old Faithful, Canyon and Mammoth and in the Montana towns of West Yellowstone and Gardiner.

The University of Utah Seismograph Station speculates that the swarms of earthquakes are probably the result of slipping pre-existing faults rather than underground movement of magma. However faults are not know to produce non-stop earth quake activity lasting for weeks on end. Only underground magma on the move can do that, as the quakes are all concentrated inside Yellowstone Park rather than along a fault line running hundreds of miles in length. (Go figure)

Since no one in recorded history knows the warning signs of a super volcano about to erupt, obviously it's anyone's guess. Just know that if these quakes continue, it's advised that anyone within a 400 mile radios may want to find somewhere else to stay for a while until the ground stops moving in Yellowstone. Note. In 2006 President Bush jr. mandated that the USGS not talk to the public about the state of Yellowstone. Obviously the public is to be kept in the dark as Obama had not rescinded the order.

2009 State of Emergency for Yellowstone National Park has had over 500 earthquakes in the last five days of 2008. Chris Sanders the President of The Gas Company who is also a geologist has been tracking the possible eruption of this super volcano for the last few months. Now January 1, 2009 Chris is advising that all people visiting and volunteering at Yellowstone National Park leave immediately.

FYI: In 2007 Bush issued a gag warning to all USGS employees not to talk to the public about Yellowstone until Bush could sensor any new DATA. Go figure!

@UGLandrum Keep in mind, the hindus and jews and muslims also all claim various miracles, "scientific evidence" of their beliefs, and everything else you, as a christian, are claiming. The ONE common theme to all of these groups is that they rely on the age old method of trying to claim something as true, without basing it on actual evidence.

That's like me claiming an invisible unicorn created the world in the 1960s, and then not giving evidence to support it.

@UGLandrum Also hearsay. Christians often claim such a thing but they never actually back that claim up with solid, sourced evidence. Sort of like when catholics try to convince me science has studied and cannot explain incorruptible bodies of saints, when no such studies ever took place.

As I said before, claims are merely claims until they are based in solid, publicly reviewable evidence.

We have indeed continued to evolve over time. (Hence why people are being born without wisdom teeth at times.) Have you ever heard of the homo sapiens sapiens description? Homo Sapiens in modern times are far different from their shorter, obviously less cognitively advanced progenitors.

Remaining primates share a common ancestor- they evolved from forms which did not share the genetic trait giving advanced cognition.

Broaden your research, in fact the ancient Chinese recorded evidence of a great flood, they are not the only ones. Sorry but TurbinePower69 is right, and Evolution is all made up, remember it started with one man who on his death bed admitted he lost faith in his own theory.

@Styxhexenhammer666 You know why there is no evidence of scientists abandoning evolutionary science? They are to fuckin embarrassed to publicly admit that they believed in total bullshit. It's full of contradictions, errors, flawed ideals, "facts", and most of all dating methods. If homo sapiens have been around for 130,000 years or so, why haven't we evolved into something more advanced? Why haven't the "remaining primates" evolved into humans or human variants, b/c it's BS!

Unfortunately there is absolutely no actual evidence of a creation theory (any of them) being true. There is overwhelming scientific evidence for evolution.

Christians always say "thousands of scientists are abandoning evolutionary science" yet they never actually quote a source based statistic for it, they just make the claim as though claiming it made it true. Mere hearsay.

You (re:everyone at large) NEVER hear in the news or science classrooms around the world, of the Thousands (globally) of scientists who have ABANDONED Evolutionary Science in favor of the Creation, Because the Facts strongly support Creationism. Notice also, evolutionists are Predominantly Atheists..and That, IS a Fact. STUDY both sides Openly, as I did.
