Cast members from the PDM Young Actors Workshop Perform "I Wont Say I'm in Love" From the musical "Hercules" Directed By Paul-Dean Martin. Join us as we celebrate our upcoming 17th season.
The Young Actors Workshops takes kids with little or no acting experience and puts them through an 8 week intensive study of a full musical theater production. The students are taken from an introduction to theatre to the audition process, to the rehearsal process which culminates into a live performance event. In our 17 years of service to the children in our community no child has ever been turned away because of an inability to pay. Our scholarship program has given away over $119,000.00 in scholarships in our 17 year history. The performances that you are looking at are rehearsed in just 5 short weeks with only two rehearsals per week. Our students are taught the true meaning of being part of a theatre troupe. Everyone on the cast has an important role to play in our productions. We use no government funds and our performances are completely funded by registration fees, ticket sales and private contributors. Each PDM production selects a local charity as our recipient of funds or products for their charity. For the 2009- 2010 season we will be partnering with our local schools to help raise much needed funds in these tough economic times. If you would like to learn more about PDM or to book them for an appearance please email us for a press kit at PDM YoungActors@aol.com
