I agree with some of the other posts about the reclining position BUT no one has noticed yet that you were SUPPOSED to have the locking clip CLOSEST to the buckle NOT furthest away like what you did on the video and YES you CAN use a pool noodle to help recline the seat if needed.

This is terrible, it is wrong in so many places - where to begin.? 1. Recline the car seat first to use in the rear-facing position. 2. Use the latch system if your car has it. 3. Never leave a space between the seat and the base of the Britax - put swim noodles or something similar FTP level the car seat base parallel to the line she showed. 4. Never put the seat belt over the fabric and foam, always put it on the plastic of the base. Close the seat clips that she showed. 5. Where is the rear-

Did you put the seat belt OVER the cover? Is that allowed?

If this is a serious video on installing car seats, I would stop all the giggling in it.. this lady looks like she is playing with the seat, and not serious in doing a good job of showing how to properly install a car seat.. I have this same seat and would advise all to read the manual word for word and not rely on this video for any installation instruction.. Its not funny when your kid gets serious injured in an accident and the seat was improperly installed, thanks to this "reckless" video...

Have a Professional installer Like the hwy patrol or fire dept show you how to install you seat and properly secure your child in it..
Home made videos ? there may be a better source of information for your child's safety

THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! This video couldn´t be more useful to me.

Difficult to use for beginners; terrible instructions from manufacturer; too big for premies-oversized rubber strap abrasive on premie's neck; click and safe strap hard to access when seat is rear facing; click and safe doesn't always "click" even when snug; almost threw this seat out the window out of frustration but I'll give it another week to figure it out.

umm yes u forgot to recline it
Yup... smily714... hence above discussion. And I THINK that there are car seats with 5-point harnesses that accommodate kids up to 40 lbs. Safety advocates push to keep kids in it for as long as possible.

Good video. I did have one question. Is the seat in recline mode or upright mode? It appears that the seat is in the upright position and not reclined. When installing rearfacing, it always needs to be in the recline position. If more recline is needed, the pool noodle can be used to help get a greater recline.

You are absolutely right. It should be in fully reclined. Do you have this seat? Can you explain how to recline it for our viewers?

When rearfacing, the seat must always be in recline. When forward facing, the seat can be reclined up to 33 pounds. After 33 pounds, the seat needs to be in the upright position. If a child is under 33 pounds though, they are safer rearfacing, as the newest studies have shown it is safer to keep kids rearfacing for as long as possible, preferably up to age 2 or older. Watch the youtube video "The Importance of Rear-Facing" and do a google search for "rearfacing unmatched safety" to learn why
