I have heard some traditional / classic Turkmen songs sung by our Turkish brethern from Turkey and I found it very charming and quite enjoyable, though the accent was slightly different.

Turkmens have come with many traditional customs design goes back to the time of Saljuk Turkmen daynasty. You may witnessed a few of them.

thank you. but i heard something different from a turkish girl, she's from istanbul and said she can't understand turkmen. a yörük-turkmen told me their language and the turkmenistan-turkmen language is almost the same and understable for each other. the turkish girl isn't the smartest by the way...
