  • Churchill- the greatest leader of the twentieth century

  • The US didn't arm Hitler or actively use war to "drain" the UK in any way. The US had been coping with the Great Depression and the idea of entering a foreign war was unpopular. Public support for entering the war grew slowly, and FDR wasn't able to make large-scale commitments until after his re-election in 1940.

Wasn't Canada a Commonwealth of Great Britain? Wasn't it far more politically expedient for Canada, Australia, New Zealand & colonies like India to play an active role earlier on?

  • @pinchmeImnotdreaming Very sad indeed and shocking....and you have a radical islamic problem that presents a horrific problem for your nation and for that matter, all western european nations! I hope you guys wake up soon...I do not want to see Europe go under a new dark ages!

  • Ruth Benedict Arnold. Just as terrorists love liberals, Hitler loved people like her.

  • @Albertanator Yes, here in Britain - once the home of Free Speech you can be arrested for supporting traditional family life. Three years ago an elderly couple were arrested for peaceably supporting traditional family life at a local authority funded campaign for gay marriage. Just one of many examples of how so-called liberals employ fascist methods to get their way. I well remember the fascist, bullying left/liberal brainwashing at university - this brainwashing is normal.

  • Jo Kennedy, who was very anti-English, did a lot to spread misinformation about England.

  • @jackrussell19a: You quibble over my correct usage of the tense "were" because you misunderstood the reference. The subject was Claronium780's historically illiterate accusations regarding America's role in WWI & WWII. I responded with "These [ie WWI & WWII] weren't our wars" which sets the context. "[At the time of WWI & WWII] Canadians were members of the British Commonwealth and as such had a responsibility to participate in the British War commitment."

  • "Grisley gang to work your wicked will!" Shakespeare could not have done better!

  • @FreeGiftOffers Was???? Canada still IS a British commonwealth country!!!

  • @cryptsub Such a sharp lady as Ruth Benedict should have known better. Very disappointing!

  • @vbsurfstud20 hitler never went amongst his bombed out people. he never talked about defeats or the dangers of the situation. i do not know on what level the german people could have felt he was in contact with them.
