Dr.Stavros Panteli Evening - Archbishop Gregorios - 05

First of all I would ike to wish you all a Happy New Year, to all of you, your families, to the world and to all the people who are doing very good work. Good work for the people, like the late and beloved collaborator, Dr. Stavros Pantelis. (Continues n Greek) ... I would also like to congratulate the organisers of this event. I was saddened that I was not able to be at Stavros' funeral because I had a pre-arranged committment to be in Great Yarmouth and so the Bishop of Tropeou, Athanasios, had told me of the presence of so many people, compatriots and others, as Kyriacos has just explained, had been present at the funeral service ... showing that Stavros was a very popular person, a person who transcended the boundaries and limits of his community, of his religion and his culture ... and that he reached out, as his books had done, to the whole world.
