This is my response to Onision's videos on vegetarianism, particularly 'We Moo You Murder' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYFFwv4DexY&feature=channel_page (where he promotes eggs and milk whilst demonising meat eaters) and 'Vegetarian Vomit' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Dg03RzpBPQ&feature=channel_page (where he states that people who eat meat are incapable of love for either companion animals or people). It is also a good source of information for any of the lacto-ovo-vegetarians who have contacted me to say that they think veganism is 'extreme', when it really is the logical conclusion of their own ethics.

Excuse my stilted dialogue I was a bit upset and angry after watching his videos and then selecting and editing the footage for my response and didnt want to reduce myself to screaming like he does.

All footage that is not my own has been credited and is used for non-profit, educational purposes only.

I tried to send Onision a message informing him of this video but he has friend lock so I was unable to. This is what I tried to send:

I'm calling you out

I've made a video addressed to you mainly because it really pisses me off I haven't seen you ONCE validate the concerns of vegans on animal products other then meat. So I have created a video which gives you visual proof of the systematic and inescapable cruelty inherent in commercial egg and dairy production, hopefully it will stop you from repeating things like "Go Organic!" (organic only covers the chemicals administered to the animals and nothing else, and exists because of concerns about human harms as a result. Male calves and male chicks are still killed because it is not commercially viable to keep them alive when they produce nothing) in response to valid vegan concerns. We don't go vegan for no reason you know, if there was such a thing as commercially available cruelty-free milk and eggs we would probably be mostly lacto-ovo-vegetarians too, but that is not the case. Only a tiny percentage of people have access to ethical animal products (i.e. milk from cow protectionists and others willing to allow bulls of dairy breeds to live for no return to themselves, eggs from hens allowed to run free with roosters etc etc), and by promoting their consumption (which you do in 'We Moo You Murder') you are actively promoting cruelty and slaughter. This is something to you condemn others for in the strongest of terms.

I recognise you have only been vegetarian since December or thereabouts but lots of people are listening to you so it is important that someone calls you out on the impact of your actions. The most important part of what I am saying is not that you should stop eating your hens eggs or whatever but that you need to stop promoting cruelty on your channel.

**If you have anything to say in return I will accept it in comments on the video or in a video response, because I have had my say publically and I want people to see what you have to say about this too.**

  • Great video, calling out that guy.

  • The melodrama in this video is sickening.

Cows are not comparable to humans in any way. I don't condone cruelty to animals, but being vegan has nothing to do with ethics, it is simply a dietary choice.

  • some idiots complaining about pain and nerves under me who cares. animals survive by eating each other it is the way of LIFE. how do lions and other beasts survive by eating their 100% organic soy..bull they eat meat. shut up u hipsters. only the weak are sissy vegans lololololololololollololololololololololol

  • @nerdymom2

We are omnivores, we can eat both. Jellyfish, mussels and clams do not have nerves, meaning they have no pain, does that mean we can eat them? If you were to shoot an animal, or make it unconscious before slaughter it would not feel pain, meaning it would be O.K. to slaughter it by your words.

In the end plants are just as much a living creature as animals, it doesn't justify actions, your still killing something in order to eat, whether it be animals or plants.

  • @xXFoxyScorpionXx plants have no cnetreal nervous system like animals. we need plants to survive. we dont need to kill animals to survive. get it right mead head.

  • I will go organic and local farming, much more humane than factory farming. I will never become vegan or vegetarian, as I realize how hypocritical it would be for me to become one. Plants are just as much a living creature as animals, if you were to observe one, you would realize they act and MOVE a lot like an animal. Plants try to survive just as much as animals, we can't see it when we pick them, they release chemicals to warn other plants. Who are we to choose what life is worth less?

  • Doesn't seem halal to me.

  • @xXEMOKILLASXx Plants aren't sentient are they?

  • @door286 could you picture a child or puppy being crushed alive or repeatedly impregnated so that some other species can get their unecessary fix. :-/ if people find it so wrong to abuse cats and dogs why is it all okay to abuse some other animals. and its not like farmers cant get a good living from growing and selling fruits and vegetables.

  • someday I would love to go vegan but right now I'm a vegetarian i'm taking baby steps :)
