Having had my Z06 since May, I can tell you the car is more than useable everyday. The car delivers 26 mpg at 75 mph and handles highway irregularities just fine. For street use the seats are supportive and the ride firm but not jarring. The car is as quiet on the highway as most midpriced small luxury cars. My money is used to buy performance. I don't care one bit about euro prestige. That disappears in a hurry when a Z06 is blowing their doors off for significantly less dollars.

@Trey4Fun I agree with you man Corvette is for people who dont give a shit if the inside its made of fancy or luxurious materials, we just want speed, performance and beauty, like in women.

Correction: The interior's behind GERMAN standards, not "European" standards. Aside from Ferrari & Lamborghini, the rest of Europe has never produced a single world-class mass produced car. (and no, the McLaren F1 was not a mass produced car) When someone refers to the quality, engineering & style of a European car, what they're referring to, whether they realize it or not, is the quality, engineering & style of a German car. German and British cars are about as alike as Luxembourg and Slovakia

For him to say "the Americans are showing us how to do it..." is incredible- All the European car guys have talked smack about Corvette for years.. this was a fair and unbiased review, I am happy to see that. As far as the car, its incredible- and now w the ZR-1 out you can find one for around 50k....God Bless America... Its so fun to drive, looks so much meaner than the regular Corvette..commands attention and will outrun 99% of the cars you encounter on the road, what more could you want??

Look, I own a C6 Z06, so I'm pretty familiar with how it sounds inside, outside, exhaust, intake etc.  Not giving you grief here, I'm still just saying that ex formula 1 driver, Tiff, knows that the Z06 is not mid engine...when he points out towards the back of the car in reference to the sound, he is referring to exhaust noise...

However, guess what, you paid an extra $95k just for a fancier

interior as your car has just been beat by America's greatest sports

car called Corvette ZR1.

It actually performs alot of porsches and a few ferraris. I love the interior of the Corvette, slick and black, no nonsense with a really sporty feel. Europeans over-engineer alot of stuff and besides wtf do you need heated seats,wood trim, and 15 cupholders in a sports car? Is it THAT boring that you need to be distracted by the interior? The Corvette looks better than most European sports cars too...

It's always interesting seeing a European's review on Corvette. They usually complain about how the Vette doesn't have the luxury interior that the other European cars do. Waaah! Last I checked the Vette since 2000 handled and accelerated similar to the top Porsche lines and Ferrari's, but keep bitching about the interior? I'lll take the 70% discount and buy CORVETTE Forever.

I don't think they right cars are compared when europeans do it. I can come up with a ton of European pieces of crap if you compare them to a better car...also..just the tailpipe?? i don't plan on it lol i have driven a c6 z06 before and i loved it. but remember no hard driving for the first 500 miles. i am on mile number 4.

I drove past a dealership last week and saw a brand new Z06 crashed into the K-Rail on the freeway on ramp, poor guy didn't even get to go on the freeway. DO NOT TURN TRACTION CONTROL OFF THE FIRST TIME YOU DRIVE IT!!!
