Well in a few hours today I put together a nice little DOS interface, which is something ive wanted to do for a while. If you are new to DOS or just know nothing about it, but need to do something which requires you being in DOS mode, this interface may help you get around easier. Even if you know your way around DOS but just dont like the whole command-line thing, this could be useful to you.
If you want to use Easy DOS, you can simply download the files and run the autoexec.bat file to open it. If you want to make a bootable DOS disk with Easy DOS on it, format a floppy disk and make sure you check "make ms-dos startup disk" and then copy the Easy DOS files (init.exe, main.exe, autoexec.bat) to the disk, and Easy DOS will start when you boot the disk.
edit: you can now download Easy DOS at this link:

If that link doesnt work, message me with your email and i will send it to you.

@yappers4 no, I cannot. It's coded in 16 bit qbasic, for dos.

okie doke :P any program that will make 16 bit programs run on x64? I dislike x64 more n more each day

@yappers4 you could try running it in a DOS emulator like Dosbox, but I'm pretty sure they got rid of native 16 bit support on x64 versions of windows.

Hello i downloaded this and noticed it went to full screen, i would also like to do this with a batch file i have created my self, What is the proper code to force it into full screen and stay that way and act as though your in a dos prompt on lets say a floppy disk?

I don't know much batch code, so I couldn't say. This was written in Qbasic, not batch.
