AT SCHOOL; WITH JOE AND MANDY

Joe: *worried* What happened to her?
Mandy: *tears fill up her eyes* After she came home last night, her dad found out she was at a boy's house, your house, and beat her so bad that he knocked her out. *starts crying again*
Joe: *furious* WHAT?!?
Mandy: You heard me. Her father beat Miley pretty bad, and me and her mom tried to stop him, but there was nothing we could do. I should have left her at your house, at least she wouldn't have gotten hurt. *looks down, with tears in her eyes*
Joe: *lifts up her chin* No, because if you left her at my house, then her father would have came after her and in even worse condition than she is now.
Mandy: I know, but still.
Joe: So where is she now?
Mandy: She's can home, with her mom. Her dad is gonna be gone for a couple of days, thank god. He has some business trip to go on.
Joe: You said he's gonna be gone for a couple of days. *has an idea*
Mandy: *sees that he has an idea* Joe, what are you thinkin'?
Joe: *smiles* Something. Just meet me at my locker after school today, okay?
Mandy: Yeah, sure, see you then, bye. *leaves*

LATER DURING 8TH PERIOD (LAST PERIOD OF THE DAY); WITH JOE

Joe: *raises his hand*
Teacher: Yes, Joe.
Joe: May I go to the bathroom?
Teacher: Of course.
Joe: *leaves and goes to the bathroom* Ugh, why am I soo worried about Miley, it's not like I can like her anything like that. Besides, I still love Demi, it's wrong. *goes over to the sink and places his hands on the sick and looks into the mirror* Ugh, this is so difficult.
Demi: *appears out of thin air* No, it's not Joseph.
Joe: Yes it is. *turns around and sees Demi* Demi, mmm, how are you?
Demi: I'm fine, but that's not why I'm here. I'm here because I know that you're having girl problems. And I know that I'm part of that problem, now talk.
Joe: Well...*tells her everything from when he saw Miley crying yesterday, to now* And now I don't know what to do. I'm so confused, I feel like I like her, really like her, but I can't I love you and only you.
Demi: *smiles* Joe, this is great.
Joe: How is it great?
Demi: This is a sign, you're finally moving on. That's why it's great.
Joe: Wait, hold up a sec, so you're okay with me liking Miley?
Demi: Of course I am, and besides she's a very lovely girl. I'm happy you like her.
Joe: Wow, I'm happy that you were my girlfriend, it amazes me that you're so chill about this.
Demi: *laughs* Okay, Joe, I get it, but go. Miley needs you, she's in pain and she needs you by her side. Now shoo.
Joe: *laughs* Okay, okay. Bye. *kisses her cheek and leaves*

AFTER SCHOOL; WITH JOE AND MANDY

Mandy: *arrives at Joe's locker* Okay Joe, I'm here now why did you want me to come to your locker?
Joe: 'Cause me and you are going to Miley's house. *smiles*
Mandy: WHAT?!? Joe, no, you know what happened to Miley after her dad found out that she was at your house, but if you go to her house, she's be dead.
Joe: You said her dad is away for a couple of days, all we have to do is have no one tell him that I was there, and no one will get hurt.
Mandy: Fine, let's go. *she and Joe go to Joe's car and drive to Miley's house, she opens the door, and leads Joe to Miley's room, opens the door*
Joe: *walks in* Hey Miley. *smiles*
Miley: *sits up in her bed, and smiles really big* JOE!!
