The tune from 0.45 to 1.01 is called 'Dinah'. It goes like this...'Dinah is there anyone finah in the state of Carolina etc etc

The Temperance Seven did Sahara and it was issued on CD compilation of their songs about 2-3 years ago, so should still be available if you are interested in a more "modern" interpretation rather than a contemporary one.

I agree with Nancy, you are alot of the reason I am addicted to youtube :)

The "bluesy tango" at 3:42 isn't a Tango in fact, it's actually Henpecked Blues (and labelled as a "Blues"), recorded by the band on November 3, 1923. I see what you mean about the Tango sound though, which lasts for the duration of the cornet and clarinet solos.

Thanks for posting this exciting game of "name that tune!" I was pleasantly surprised to hear a snippet of Horatio Nicholl's "Sahara" at 1:55, as I have been vainly searching for a recording of this tune for quite some time. If it's not too much trouble, would you be willing and able to post "Sahara" in its entirety?
By the way, what is the name of the bluesy tango at 3:42?
Many Thanks!

The song is "Show Me The Way to Go Home", it continues "I'm Tired and I Want to Go Bed"
Bravo ! But I ask for the song´s name at
0:40 to1:01. I heard it a lot at the afternoons, on Radio Nacional, in Rio de Janeiro , circa 60´s. I should appreciate.

Thanks. That's one of the nicest things anyone has said to me.
