Finnair MD-11 Helsinki-New York

Cockpit view of a Finnair MD-11. Takeoff from Helsinki and in-flight. During the approach to rwy 31R, all went fine, but on short final, American Airlines flight 160 had not yet left the runway. After a go-around, the pilot executed an excellent landing. A very special thanks to Joni Hares (Windman10) for making this video, as without him, none of this would be possible! ;)

Oh I love these Finnair-fellows!

You see 7:04 how soft the P.I.C. took off the power.

I flew very often with Finnair from Stuttgart to Helsinki and domestic to Oulo/Kemi and Rovaniemi.

These fellows fly their planes in EVERY WEATHER very professionell!

@matsopelle MD-11s (2 of them) are still active with Finnair's cargo division. The MD-11 has some unbeatable characteristics as a cargo plane.

@KENJORENS Yea, Finnair gave up the MD-11 little while back, because of too high fuel consumption. :(
