Rogers Hero Rom Install

STEP 1. DOWNLOAD THE Adroid sdk 1.5

Step 2. Download this custom spl (133.2005):

Modded HBOOT-1.33.2005 for rogers htc magic
Confirmed working on :
- PVT 32B - CPLD10
- PVT 32B - CPLD11
- PVT 32A - CPLD12

step 3. download and flash that spl by renaming it update and putting it on the phone sd card. then turn off the phone and press Home + End. The wipe and install update through the recovery menu.

step 4. download custom recovery image created by Daldroid if you want to do backups. (optional)

step 5. install the recovery image ny renaming it boot.img, then drag and drop it into to your tools folder of your SDK, the pust your phone into fastboot mode by first turning it off and then pressing Back + End. the Open command pomp on your computer and type: cd(press the space bar) then drag and drop your tools folder into you command promp.
now type fastboot flash boot boot.img.
now reset device.

step 6. install custom hero rom made for the htc magic for rogers

drag and drop file to your phone sd card (make sure previous files with the name update are deleted) and go into your phones recovery mode (showed you how to do the already) then wipe and update.

step 7. if you want wifi to work on your phone, download this wlan.ko file and place it in you tools folder. Go in command promp and type the following:

cd android-sdk-windows-1.5_r2
cd tools
adb remount
adb push wlan.ko /system/lib/modules/wlan.ko

step 9. download custom boot screen for magic (optional)

To get this working first download the boot screen.zip file and extract the boot-Rogers.img file to your tools folder in the sdk. then turn the phone off and go to the fastboot menu on the phone. ON THE COMPUTER, go to command promp and type:

fastboot flash boot boot-Rogers.img

step 12. reset and your officially done.

Can it work it you have donut 1.6 or do you have to root back to 1.5? Also, is it signed because ive tried installing custom ROM before and it always says not signed verification failed!

@kdsesc Yes! Bluetooth works fine! Only thing that doesnt work is the wifi but you can get it working by following colapticus's instructions :)

if your read to your right it tells you what you need to do. I first went to the unlocker . com and done the tutorial on how to root the phn then I followed this tutorial and it works fine. I can vouch for that!

Heyyy... Can this be installed without the SDK, can I just flash it on my recovery, and do you need the custom SPL cuz mines 1.33.0010....
