Content: Neilston Pipe band [I think?], Float procession, St. Johns Ambulance, Gillian Anderson dancers, Dunterlie Scheme of Culture, Salvation Army Brass Band/Play School, Colinbar Circle, and other in the procession etc. Gala Queen and her ladies in waiting on one of the floats [Gail Robertson was the Gala Queen, Caroline Cusic and my daughter Laura MacDonald were her ladies in waiting.]

What! This is only the 7th of January, You've still got over 5mnth go, a lot can happen in that time. The Gala could cancelled for example, what would you do then for an encore? :)

i was in Barrhead till 1995 moved away but ma dad remained there till dec 08 ( brigg in local drinker ) miss barrhead used to be a great place well we were up in auchenback

lol sometimes they still sing that song  everywhere we go the kids are singing at 5.24 today i think they sang it last year too thsie video is awsome its so good to see your towns Gala day up their with all the other gala days held in the uk but our gala was the best

@ScottyInDaHouse I'm in NZ,,,, an the Brigg Inn was my local as a 'legalised' drinker. Have very fond memories of the old place. Lived in Aurs Dr for 24 years. Educated at Barrhead Head school and worked at William Anderson & So in Main St for 4 years.

thise was a great day and the sun shone and everyone was carefree and happy i loved the gala and i came home that day snowed under with prizes and that and id eat so many sweets i felt sick lol Long live the Gala
