  • Why does the chinchilla have spots on it's ear?

  • @ennaira1994 Due to the color mutation (hetero beige). Some combinations produce small differences on ears, cover or abdomen.

  • how old is she?? i have a chinchilla who is 6 years old :)

  • @killerpeej She's now a five years old girl.

  • i have a question, for hamsters when they have a baby the dad tries to eat them or something, but what about for chinchillas?

  • @irawrz4u nope. Everything is calm with parentsxbabies. BUT, if the mother has more than 2 babies, they may fight for milk and you must implement a rotation scheme to avoid this issue.

  • @ennaira1994 they are called speckles and perfectly normal:)

  • they sound like guineaz

  • @irawrz4u - number 1 reason i love chinchillas is that they're "romantic" in a sense, the dad helps dry one baby off while the others are still on the way. in nature, they do this to get rid of the evidence of the births so they dont attract predators. the dads will also help eat afterbirths and still borns if there are any. But if they are pets, its not necessary they eat this so if possible, take them away because if they eat it, theyll be super constipated

  • looks exactly like my chinchilla

  • Could I ask chinchilla buyers to adopt its such ashame to see tons of chincillas in those cages
