Shan, name of state , called themselves Tai , Dai, or Thai...same race as Thai in Thailand, Thais from central part to southernmost speak differently a bit because of the impact mixed many races in the area that influence them all most everything ,geographically, culturally or even the way of living(lifestyle) if you dig deep enough will see" We are the same Race & History background." No Thailand, Shan, Sipsonpanna, Siengrung, and even no Laos..only Tai , Dai or Thai..agree with taimuongtea
Long-lived Shan people. You should abandon Burmese military junta leaders who have always disgarded your language, culture and customs. Laos and its people have always loved you and welcomed you. Please join Laos.
I am completely amazed of Shan people that have been able to maintain their language, culture and traditions which are almost identical to Lao because Burmese regime has had a reputation of one of the most repressive regimes in the world. Long-lived Shan people. You should abandon Burma to join Laos who highly appreciate your language, customs and traditions. Long-lived Shan people.
May I added; the Tai is the ancestry of the South East Asia people. Begun with our so call 1st King Sinu Lo (Yunnan, China) and trailed to Tai Prince; Khun Lo ( Loas Country Founder) during 600s and passed on to LanSang King; Fa Gnum. Which a lineage of our Prince; Khun Lo...Peace to all TAI Nationals.. Its time to give back the respect of your own ancestors.
BTW: Northern Lao (Tai Lue or plainly Tai or Dai) speak similar to Tai Chiang Mai (Northern Thailand), Southern China Tai Sipsongpanna (Yunnan Province), and Shan (Tai) State in Burma. There are lots of Tai or Lao in USA as well haha
Are you from Southern Laos or Northern Laos? If your from Northern Laos then you should be able to understand it because the entire Northern Lao are Tai or Dai haha unless your family migrate from Southern Laos to Northern Laos haha
can anyone from pi nong tai post any pic of ornaments of our shan oeople?
