What does a Fairview Tele-ICU interaction look like? Learn how in this video.
Fairview's Telemedicine-ICU (Tele-ICU) program is a new way we're collaborating to improve care for our sickest adult patients.
"The Tele-ICU leverages and integrates the collective expertise of intensivists, nurses and other professionals across Fairview," says Greg Beilman, MD, Fairview medical director of critical care. "It will provide an added layer of assessment and intervention. The end result: outstanding patient outcomes for all adult ICU patients."
A camera is located in each ICU patient room and will only be activated when there needs to be visual communication between clinicians in the hub and in the ICU room. Patients, families and clinicians in the ICU room will know when the camera is activated.
