Assalamu Alaykum. I am a recent convert to Islam and Dr.Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips was a prominent figure in my current studies of Islam. JazakAllah Khair. Anyone who wants to know about Islam, this is just one of many that may help but I feel he is in the top 5 of scholars today.

@icemike73 : Actually, the quran is not in any 'prestine' condition. It has been altered and any copies that might prove that have been destroyed by caliph uthman. Even so, the quran itself as it is today proves that it has been tampered with. Enjoy your delusion.

1. Qur'an didn't make slavery lawful, the Qur'an came when slavery was widespread through Arabia and all over world, and it regulated slavery and freed slaves. Descendants whose fathers were freed slaves became the rulers of Islam
2. The Qur'an speaks of the past, present and future.
3. The Hadiths are from the prophet explaining the Qur'an.
4. Aisha was 19 when the prophet married her, and I would laugh if a non-Muslim disagrees with me and claims he know the life of my prophet better than me.
