if you listen really close it is exactly like what Eddie Van Halen was doing, pick the first note of 3 on one string, then pick all three on the following string, it's EVH licks just much faster and all over the place... still EVH licks though at that time. He took techniques further than VH though. To be honest you'd have to do an accurate time line to see if it was he in fact that might have influenced VH etc.

Yes, he was on steroids for a medical condition. Psoriasis. People think is is just a skin disorder. What it actually is, is an AUTOIMMUNE disorder. We have too high of an immune system, so our body attacks itself. It forgets to stop fighting any germ that comes our way. We do not get sick from whatever you have exposed us to right away, but we surely get worse sick than you will if we are on medications to keep our immune system from attacking us. We can die. And he did. Look it up people.

Pffft! I was on that tour with him, playing with another band, Tiny female, power percussionist. And I was 16. They really freaked out when they found out my true age. We had crossed state lines. BWAAAHAHA! He was a very courteous young gentleman, and I am sad he died when we were forty. It sucketh much,
