A small, lowest quality video (for ease of downloading) of my roboreptile WITH energizer batteries, about 10 minutes after initial use.
*NOTE: DO NOT bother using anything LESS than these batteries as you'll think the 'bot is a dud - I almost returned mine until a last ditched effort made me try DECENT batteries! 'Heavy duty' ones simply DON'T cut the mustard!!!

PS; the head-banging on the kitchen tidy bin, was a classy ending to the video I thought ;-)

  • that toy is lame. we have one.

  • It is indeed.

Good for first few minutes but gets boring very quickly. Wish I'd saved my money to be honest!

  • hmm mine won't run that fast!!

  • As I think I outlined; you MUST use GOOD QUALITY Alkaline or rechargeable batteries; mine only shuffled along until I discovered the units need for a STRONG power source.

    Hope that help...

  • ...I think the basic technology exists, but its more a case of converting that technology into an acceptably priced mass produced (which in itself can have flaws) item & I think that part, whilst not too far away, may take a while before its available to the average person who doesn't want to mortgage his or her house just to buy what IS essentially a toy.

I got over mine very soon after I bought it, and haven't really used it AT ALL since not long after this video.

  • On what basis?

  • LOL at the end!!!!!! He hits his head!!!

  • ha ha funny :-)

  • if you want a robot like that you might want to wait for that technologies these days don't have advanced dynamic movements like that, alhough some robots are capable of running pretty fast such as a roboreptile

  • the idea of this robot was great, i even thought about buying one, having yr own reptile at home!! but now after watching the video.. at the moment it's good for kids, but it needs a lot of improvements. when they will make it run, like really run, like dinosaurs would, jump on things and crawl up them, i'll definitely buy one :)
