@kerzhakov89 My grandmother is from Iceland and all that I can tell you is the language of the lyrics is closer to Old Norse than modern Icelandic, though both are similar. It is about a journey across Iceland in the spring, so koncar1979 is on track....

It's like taking a step straight into the ancient world of the Vikings. God, this song always puts a tear into my eye. Touches something ancient Nordic in my soul. I want it played at my funeral one day!

Beautiful music.

"This old shit" haha. I started to think this was some sort of protest with those cow heads in the plate at the start, but they actually eat that?

@koncar1979 The mind enchanted by the strait, heath and pass; the passage of hope is chosen westward Breiðafjörðinn. Everything is carried away, grime from the grooves and mountains, because the spring blooms with flowers spread in all traces. The day tilt "daypearls" scattered all over the field vegetation; the mountain flower grow around the blessed mountain river. Run out of mercy at this place, then the crowd will be divided, because the gate is open to the wide ocean water.

....the most beautiful song on Heima...I love Sigur Ros and Iceland...and no words can describe the voice of this guy, Steindor Andersen....
..can somebody translate these words to english, some people saying this is 'very old poem and a lot of words are not used in Icelandic language anymore. As the language is now the song is about mountains, valleys, fog, nature, spring, flowers, covered tracks (footprints maybe or horse tracks)'

I tried to search the internet for the lyrics, couldn't find anything so I think the only hope is an intervention of an Icelander. :)
