@tearlach45 What a load of utter shit. McDonald was the laziest player I've ever seen wear the Hoops. Scored important goals but was nowhere near the level of Gary Hooper technically.

Fantastic servant to the club. Wish he wasn't sold; but it was a no-bad amount that Middlesborough offered for him; almost £4 million. That was the only logic behind the departure.

McDonald was twice the player hooper was. Hooper scores goals yes, but McDonald did so much more as a player.
