The youth in Burma are working to feed their families instead of going to school and be educated. Since their families are struggling, they work and are unable to attend schools, thus they do not get the jobs in their field of choice.

  • I can understand the level of difficulty these young people in myanmar are going through. But unlike them (in myanmar), here in the west I have better chances of succeeding because of the education system, equal opportunity and minimum wage. If I study had and work hard I can get a better job and a better life no doubt about that. I'm sure in myanmar these young people are underpaid, especially ethnic minorities (from the highland or countrysides). I hope that myanmar can change for the better.

  • My mom watch burmese movies so I always thought that myanmar would look exactly like what I've seen on screen. However, when I went to Burma I realized these movies do not depict the true image of myanmar. I appreciate this reporter for showing the true image of myanmar. When I was on my trip from Yangon to country sides, I saw little kids about 8yrs olds working at restaurants. It breaks my heart. I've been working since 14 so I can pay for my expenses (cars, tuition, clothing, etc).

  • I simply realized that I am so blessed and privileged to study here(aboard). Actually, I'm feeling depress, pressure and don't wanna read or study. I found myself dumb, idiot and lazy. But, after watching this video clip, I promised myself and to my people. I am start doing myself better again. Thank you for your interview. This interview made my day. :)
