I went railfanning in Ho-Ho-Kus again today at Sunset. With 4 trains a hour, I stayed for 4 hours. I like the light changes this brought brought to the station area, so did Sully. With help from him, we also got some nice horn from a few trains. So, once again, Thanks to him and the Crews of the NJt trains. Enjoy!

  • Dude not for nothing but the horn on GP40PH-2B 4112 sounds sickly almost like it was on a dated U34CH.

  • 4112's horn is out of tune. But one of a kind in terms of P5s. Modified bells from a old Amtrak E60 P01235.

  • Amazing video. Great mix of push-pulls. Great variation of locomotives. Spontaneous and funny conversation with the engineer. Awesome horn action on 4112. Wonderful!

  • Yeah, it was the most fun to watch too, thanks!!

  • Holy crap, was that an awesome P5 or what?

  • it's the best horn ever.

  • @SUBWAY125 No. 4112 DID. the FRA permanetly removed it a few months ago though. It has the K5LA from GP40FH-2 # 4136, a GEEP used for parts

  • #4108 has a P5???

  • 4112's horn sounds like a P-series playing the same chord as a Leslie S-5T, transposed down to A.

  • 0:02 I think NS uses the same horn. I saw an SD40 or SD70 with the same horn blowing it at me like I was on the tracks but he was REALLY friendly!

  • Is this the former Erie-Lackawanna? God bless, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

  • Where's the GP40FH's at?

  • "GET A REAL JOB!" LOL, that was funny! Good video, I love your NJ Transit videos from Ho-Ho-Kus. How many trains a day total come through this spot? I may have to try it one of these days.

  • Awesome shots!
