You recommend using separate disks, but what if I am on a laptop and can only use one disk (without lugging an external around)? What partitions should I make and in what order do I install everything? What if the disk comes with a recovery partition, will that mess with anything?

This is very useful but don't you need to set chimera as the first boot priority in BIOS?
-
What theme is been used for the bootloader, I wouldn't mind using it :)
-
@medguydan You need to check off Instant Menu and System Utilities and reboot. You should be able to choose which OS @ bootloader.
-
@deanwrayUK Excellent, works perfectly now. Thank you

Does Chimera chainload the GRUB bootloader to make Linux boot or did you forgo installing GRUB with your Linux distros.
-
Tried dual-booting per your method above. Successfully installed Win7 and OSX separately on their respective hard disks; however, chimera boots immediately into OSX. I would like to be able to choose at the chimera screen like you did instead of having to choose disks in the BIOS. Advice or link on TonymacX86? Many thanks. Love the vids

Is your hibernation working on Win7 when booting with chimera?
Because mine always crashes on wake up from sleep/hibernation so I have to BIOS select drive to boot.
@medguydan you need to set the Timeout in your org.chamemelon.Boot.plist in your extras folder. I do it in a previous video "boot flags" i think, currently will be set to "2" which will just flash (Not enough time) and default boot to 1st target.
@EMBetazed I use bios booting for my linux distros, but if you install grub and the drive is MBR it chimera/chameleon should chainload/detect

@iPOwLinda Thanks, I have some fair capture kit in a video editing machine, allows me to plug many sources in and capture (including other computers). By theme if you mean my apple'ish display, I just made that in 10 seconds in Photoshop :) if you mean the boot theme I made that also, or with that one I think I modified one that was online....dam I don't know :)
