@jetboy33 well if you answer the reason for our being with god, one could ask where this god comes from. if you say god was always there then why not just spare a step and say the universe was always there? and when saying its not possible to know where god comes from, why not spare a step and say its not possible to know where the universe comes from. with god one simply shifts the problem one step above, but one doesnt solve it...

Given the unbelievable scope and scale of the universe, how can anyone not believe it was created through intelligent design? If there was no God or Creator, there would be nothing...not space, but absolutely nothing.....void. But the fact that there is a seemingly never-ending universe full of gasses and stars and minerals and planets..why would it be there without ID? Nature always has a purpose...To the atheists, I ask so what then is the purpose of the universe?

This is pathetic, a classic example of the faithful trying desperately to reconcile their lack of knowledge about the origins of matter. Instead of saying they don't know, they invoke the human construct of god. Just ask them who god is.... a bunch of flakey personal descriptions will follow, if anything.
