  • Fabulous. I was six years old when this song was performed. I love knowing something this cool was going on somewhere when I was already on the planet, but before I actually even knew what "cool" was. Like it was just out there, hangin' in the ether, waiting for me to find it someday. Thanks Sean Bonniwell, YouTube, and the video poster!

  • @altfactor. The location was confirmed in an interview with Bonniwell. There is also a Keith "98.6" Where the Action Is filmed at Jungleland.

  • @DenverEye From looking at the clip, I would have guessed that the clip was taped at the Los Angeles Zoo (which BTW, I once visited).

"Where The Action Is" featured rock singers and bands "performing" (usually lip-synching) their songs, taped at outdoor locations mostly (but not always) in the Los Angeles area.

I wish the show had lasted past early 1967, for then it would probably have been broadcast in color, which would have been a plus given the location shooting.

  • First I have heard of this band. Love them!!

  • Great song for drums, and I covered it on drums just yesterday.

  • PEACE SEAN ~ THE MAGIC STILL REMEMBERS WHAT TO DO, from one of your chrome throated song kissers... save me a place & we'll harmonize!

  • top tune EVER you mean mate....

  • The best! Even the Go Go girls are dressed in black. Saw the Machine in L.A. & once sent Sean a copy of a KRLA BEAT (12/17/66) article about the band. His low voicepipes style was lifted by Doug Ingle of Iron Butterfly & Jim Morrison studied Sean for 30 minutes when they played at the Whiskey...then started wearing black leather pants. Like a doctor of philosophy with a switchblade they make the Ramones look like a bunch of wimpy N.Y. clones. R.I.P. Sean, and say hi to Sky & Arthur for us.

  • My name is muddddddd!!!!

  • Love the aerial shots. Fancy stuff for Dick Clark.
